Bar Harbor - USA, Maine Highlights:
Mt. Desert Street, Popular resorts, Acadia National Park
Bar Harbor is a village on the southern coast of Maine, situated on Mount Desert Island at the foot of Cadillac Mountain facing Frenchman Bay, 46 miles (74 km) southeast of Bangor. Originally named Eden in 1763, it adopted its present name in 1918. Bar Harbor was first made famous by naturalist-painter Thomas Cole's breathtaking canvas landscapes. His paintings brought a wealth of magnificent, undeveloped land to the attention of society's elite, and they soon made Bar Harbor their exclusive playground. Explore Mt. Desert Street, a national historic district and the homes of the rich and famous. Bar Harbor is the centre of a popular resort area giving access to the Acadia National Park and nearby towns of Hulls Cove and Salisbury Cove.

Acadia National Park is a nature lover's paradise with more than 44 miles of rugged, sinuous coastline. From its smooth boulders and pebble beaches to its soaring granite cliffs with stands of deep-green fir trees, every inch of shoreline unveils natural wonders including lush vegetation, wildlife, and birds.

There are more than 30 cruises calling at this port. Click the month or cruise line logo you are interested in to see details of the cruises.
